أعلن نادي بايرن ميونخ الألماني في بيان رسمي، إصابة لاعبه الإسباني خافي مارتينيز، في مباراة الفريق الأخيرة أمام لايبزج.

وتعادل بايرن ميونخ مع لايبزج بثلاثة أهداف لكل منهما، في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما في الدوري الألماني يوم السبت الماضي.

وتعرض اللاعب للإصابة وخرج بعد 25 دقيقة من بداية المباراة، وأشار هانزي فليك، إلى أنها قد تكون بسبب الإجهاد.

النادي الألماني أعلن عبر موقعه الرسمي في بيان مقتضب، تشخيص إصابة اللاعب الإسباني على أنها عضلية، دون تحديد طبيعتها أو مدة الغياب.

وأشارت التقارير الألمانية، إلى أن اللاعب قد يغيب حتى يناير المقبل، ما يعني عدم مشاركته مع الفريق في أي مباراة أخرى خلال عام 2020.

Reece Oxford has had a turbulent few years since bursting onto the scene as a teenager.

Boasting attributes that made him look a player beyond his years, he’s failed to make the strides he looked as though he’d be able to make.

The defender has had two loan spells in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach and Augsburg but didn’t set the world alight during his time in the Bundesliga.

However, West Brom could be about to give him a lifeline in England. The Telegraph report that Albion are poised to move for the 20-year-old in a deal which could cost just £2m.

They report that the Baggies are set to capitalise on the fact that Oxford’s permanent switch to Augsburg is collapsing.

A deal had been in place according to The Telegraph but it’s now in doubt over issues regarding a relegation release clause.

Consequently, he could move to West Brom instead. With a potential transfer to the Championship outfit on the cards, Football FanCast writers have had their say on a possible move.

“£2m isn’t much these days so I’d say that this is worth a go for the Baggies. Everyone remembers Reece Oxford’s debut against Arsenal where he pocketed Mesut Ozil, but since then he hasn’t really done much. A permanent move away from West Ham may be the shot in the arm Oxford needs though and West Brom could be the beneficiaries of that, and if they can get him back on track then he would be incredible in the Championship.”

Billy Meyers:

“Oxford burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old but has fizzled out significantly ever since. However, he is still young and talent doesn’t just disappear. In this day and age, if he is available for £2m then it’s an opportunity West Brom simply can’t ignore. At this price, it is definitely worth taking the risk on Oxford.”

“Reece Oxford has struggled monumentally both on and off the pitch for West Ham United since that debut performance everyone remembers. Whether the now-20-year-old allowed himself to get a little complacent is not for me to decide or pass judgement on. A possible reunion with Slaven Bilic at West Brom is promising. But for me, this deal is one the Baggies should avoid. The last time Oxford played for West Ham he looked way off the pace and that was against a team from League One.”

According to Sky Sports, Philippe Coutinho isn’t interested in a move to Manchester United out of respect for Liverpool, who of course are United’s bitter rivals.

What’s the word, then?

Well, it hasn’t all gone to plan for Coutinho at Barcelona since his £142m from Liverpool back in January 2018.

The Brazilian international is reportedly up for sale after a dismal season at the Camp Nou, where he managed to net 11 goals in 54 appearances.

Coutinho was also booed by the supporters for not living up to his huge price tag – a sum that saw him become the club’s record transfer – and it seems as if his dream move has ultimately turned into a nightmare.

After he dismissed United, Sky Sports understands initial talks have taken place between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona over the potential signing of Coutinho, although with the attacking midfielder away on Copa America duty a move may not happen anytime soon.

Where was the respect for Liverpool before?

To say that he will reject a move to United out of respect for Liverpool could be deemed as a cheap PR stunt from Coutinho.

Nobody would want to join the Red Devils right now given the mess they’re in, so Coutinho appears to be ceasing an opportunity to score a few points with the Liverpool fans who hate him for the way he forced a move out of the club.

Many Liverpool fans have shown their hatred on social media in recent months by brandishing Coutinho a snake…

But where was Coutinho’s respect for Liverpool when he handed in a transfer request to force a move away from the club who made him? Even worse, he handed in the request via email.

And where was the respect when he also paid a huge chunk of his own money to make the switch happen? Or when he missed games for Liverpool with what The Telegraph described as a ‘diplomatic’ back injury, while scoring goals for Brazil?

His reputation is tarnished on the red half of Merseyside because of the way he tried to force a move, and no cheap ploy will mend that.

According to Sky Sports, Sheffield United are closing in on their first signing of the summer. Luke Freeman is reportedly about to come to Bramall Lane in a deal worth more than £3m.

The Blades have repeatedly looked at signing new attacking midfielders this summer with Jota and Kieran Dowell linked, but now it seems that Chris Wilder has settled on the QPR star.

What’s the story?

Freeman was linked with the Blades last week by The Sun, but it seems as if talks have progressed and Sky are now reporting that the deal is imminent.

The attacking midfielder hasn’t been short of suitors this summer. Leeds United were also reportedly interested in his services.

Fits their policy

Freeman fits everything we know about Sheffield United’s transfer policy this summer.

He is a proven Championship star, and the Blades have been chasing plenty of second division talents such as Britt Assombalonga, Jota and Oliver McBurnie.

Freeman proved last term that he is one of the best players the Championship has to offer after producing seven goals and six assists in a struggling QPR side.

On top of that he is English. Chris Wilder has a huge domestic player bias having been promoted with a squad full of British and Irish footballers. Freeman doesn’t upset that policy at all so he will be a good fit for the Blades.

He is also a bargain signing by modern day standards. With the Yorkshire club’s ownership issues not fully resolved yet they aren’t currently able to spend massive amounts, but around £4m for the 27-year-old would indicate good value-for-money considering the form he showed last season.

Russian Premier League side FC Zenit are targeting Celtic attacking midfielder Tom Rogic this summer, according to The Evening Times.

What’s the story?

Rogic is currently out with injury and didn’t make the Hoops’ pre-season trip to Austria and Switzerland, and it appears he could be nearing a Celtic exit if a buying team stumps up enough cash.

The paper report that Zenit are preparing to make a £9m bid for the player this week, with another unnamed English Premier League side showing interest too.

However, the Hoops will hold firm in the face of any incoming bids, with the report stating they won’t entertain bids of less than £15m, due to the player still having four years left on his current contract.

Should Celtic sell?

Rogic is a wonderful player on his day, able to do things with the ball that most players in Scotland simply can’t.

During his time at the Hoops he’s created some classy assists, scored some belting derby goals and even won a Scottish Cup with the last kick of the ball.

For a player considered an established first-team star though, he simply doesn’t start enough games. In fact, he hasn’t started over 30 games in a single season once during his time at the club.

When you consider that Celtic play 60 or more games in a season on a consistent basis, that makes him unreliable for the team’s needs.

At 26 years old he’s entering his peak years and this could well be the best summer to cash in on his talents and reinvest in the position for a player who can start more matches and play more minutes.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United have registered their interest in Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina over a potential move this summer.

What’s the word?

The report claims the Gabon international has informed Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl that he wants to leave the club and that United, along with Arsenal, have enquired over the 25-year-old’s availability.

It adds that Southampton are still hoping to recoup much of the £18m they initially spent on signing Lemina but have so far failed to see their valuation be met.

Despite his injury troubles and inconsistent form, the glimpses of form Lemina has displayed on the south coast make him a tantalising prospect for United to potentially bring in.

The perfect Herrera replacement

Whilst Paul Pogba has been stealing the headlines in recent weeks amidst his ‘will he stay or will he go’ transfer saga, the departure of fellow midfielder Ander Herrera may be just as sorely felt in the long-term.

The Spain international was a combative presence at the heart of United’s midfield last season, and his performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw the Norwegian exclaim that Herrera’s “energy and tenaciousness is vital for us”.

That “energy” and “tenaciousness” is exactly what United would be getting with Lemina. Valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, the 25-year-old is similarly all-action in his displays and never ceases to get himself involved in the midfield battle.

Lemina averaged 2.3 tackles and 2 interceptions per game last season, whilst Herrera recorded almost similar numbers with 2.5 tackles and 1.7 interceptions per game. Both live to break up the opposition’s play, and at 25, Lemina still has a whole lot more room to grow.

Indeed, after impressing in the weeks following his arrival at Southampton in October 2017, former Premier League star Wayne Bridge said: “Lemina is such a great player: his workrate, the way he gets up and down the pitch. His all-round play is great.”

Despite having a clutch of talented players in their side, one of the biggest criticisms surrounding United last term was their attitude and lack of work ethic. In Lemina, the Red Devils would be bringing in a player who commits himself to the cause week-in, week-out and offers them that much-needed bite they will be missing with Herrera’s exit.
