Arsenal fans must be confused with their side’s recent run of form as they’ve gone from struggling in the first leg of their Europa League tie with Stade Rennais to securing two dominant results. 

The Gunners’ main aim from here on in until the end of the season will be to secure a Champions League spot, whether it’s via a top four finish in the Premier League or by winning the Europa League.

Although, one thing that may already have crossed Unai Emery’s mind is the summer transfer window as there’re still a number of improvements that need to be made. Indeed, the North London club need to bring in a winger as they currently only have Alex Iwobi at their disposal, which has forced them to play quite narrow at times.

Interestingly, it appears as if Emery has a player on his radar, as according to Get France Football News (via The Sun), Arsenal held talks with Ismaila Sarr straight after their 3-1 defeat in France.

Indeed, the 21-year-old has made a name for himself in the current campaign having produced an impressive 10 goals and 11 assists in all competitions, which includes a goal against the Gunners in the first leg of their tie.

The winger was once dubbed as the ‘new Sadio Mane’ (as per talkSPORT) and it’s safe to say that he’s lived up to expectations up until this point, as he’s shown he can provide valuable contributions and has very similar attributes.

Sarr would easily get the Emirates rocking as he has the pace and power to excite supporters and the finishing ability to take them places. Also, his creativity would make up for Mesut Ozil’s inconsistent performances and he has all the ingredients to become a future star in the Premier League, with his best years still ahead of him.

Arsenal fans, do you think Sarr could become a star at the Emirates? Surely he’s the perfect addition for Unai Emery…

Wednesday night just shows how far Jurgen Klopp has brought Liverpool. Battering Bayern Munich 1-3 away from home truly is a memorable result. What. A. Win. 

Dominance over one of the Champions League favourites is one thing, but Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans alike still want the double. The German manager has not put all of his eggs in one basket and is optimistic for a historic season for the Reds, truly riding the crest of a wave.

Still, with a game against Fulham later today, and a chance to take back top spot, we take a look at some of the changes the Reds boss could make. Indeed, a win later could put the club back on top while Manchester City play in the FA Cup, potentially providing them with a psychological boost.

With that in mind, here’s a closer look.

Drop James Milner 

With the pile up of games coming up towards the end of the season, especially with the push for another Champions League final, it’s time for squads to find out just how much depth and quality in that depth that they have.

With this in mind, James Milner may be looking over his shoulder, with Adam Lallana coming back to fitness it looks as though it may be time on a regular starting spot for the Englishman.

Klopp and Kopites alike should be full of confidence that if Milner is to be dropped later on today, the space will be filled with quality, a problem that Liverpool have had in previous seasons.

It truly is time to get excited if you are Red.

Start Adam Lallana 

Coming back from injury and hitting full fitness at a perfect time, Adam Lallana has been thrown straight into the deep end of the title race and Champions League. Since being introduced into the first eleven again, the 30-year-old has adapted to the circumstances well and put in solid performances for the Reds.

Lallana will be eager to get another start against Fulham, after putting in a man of the match performance in the 4-2 home win over Burnley.

No matter who plays, Anfield is sure to bring more special atmospheres to games for the rest of this season, will there be any silverware to show for it at the end? We can’t wait to find out.

Few players can be at a club for only a season and make such an impact that years later fans are still reminiscing about them.

But for Jurgen Klinsmann and Tottenham, that’s exactly the case. The German legend spent only one full season in north London, and although he joined four years after the famous 1990 World Cup semi-final between England and West Germany, where the wounds from the game had only just closed, the striker made a lasting impact at Spurs and the Premier League.

His debut goal for Tottenham and subsequent celebration is one of the most iconic moments in the history of the league, with his diving jubilation warming the English public who still couldn’t get behind a man who crushed their hopes and dreams four years ago. His fun nature on the pitch made him an instant fan favourite with Tottenham fans.

In his first and only full season with Spurs, Klinsmann hit 20 goals in 41 league games for the club as Tottenham finished seventh in the league table. The German striker guided the club to a FA Cup semi-final in a run that included the World Cup winner scoring the vital goal against Liverpool in the quarter-finals to send the north London side into the final four.

Klinsmann’s impact on the league was so surprising and positive that Guardian journalist Andrew Anthony wrote a piece entitled “Why I Love Jurgen Klinsmann” two months after he had published a piece called “Why I Hate Jurgen Klinsmann”.

Unsurprisingly, the once hated pantomime villain of West Germany’s 1990 squad went on to win the 1995 Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.

Klinsmann would leave Spurs at the end of the season for Bayern Munich after reviving his career in north London and then on to Sampdoria two years later, however, the striker would return to England halfway through his only year in Italy, where he would make 15 appearances and score nine goals for Tottenham.

Klinsmann’s tale in England is one of redemption. The German came to the country a hated and despised man but left as a charming icon and advertisement for the Premier League, and as a cult hero for Spurs.

15 minutes was all that stood between Huddersfield and only their second Premier League victory away from home in their latest outing.

A brace from forward Karlan Grant had given the Terriers a 3-1 lead at the London Stadium against West Ham United yet once Angelo Ogbonna had pulled one back, it was almost inevitable what was going to happen next to Jan Siewert’s side. A late double from Javier Hernandez completed the turn around for the Hammers and edged Huddersfield even closer to relegation.

Despite the club’s capitulation grabbing all of the headlines, for the first time this season Huddersfield demonstrated a continuous attacking threat which should lead supporters to be more positive going into their fixture against Crystal Palace later.

With a return to the second tier of English football almost guaranteed, the Terriers players could thrive from the fact that there is barely any pressure on them to succeed given just how dismal they have been this season. Therefore, they could be an extremely dangerous prospect for the Eagles to deal with, especially when you consider just how well Grant has been playing since his move to the club in January from Charlton Athletic.

Palace are unlikely to be able to call upon Wilfried Zaha at the weekend as he continues to struggle with a hamstring injury (according to londonnewsonline), meaning that they will have to find another way of breaking down the Terriers. If Siewert can get his side to replicate the first 75 minutes of their performance against West Ham at the weekend, there is no reason why they can’t at least come away with a draw from Selhurst Park.

Even though relegation is an inevitability for Huddersfield, a strong end to their campaign could be highly beneficial for next season as it would boost morale within the squad and give the club’s supporters something to cling onto heading into an uncertain summer.

أكد الدولي البولندي روبرت ليفاندوفسكي، مهاجم فريق بايرن ميونخ، أنّ فريقه يسعى لتحقيق الفوز على أتلتيكو مدريد في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

Leeds United set to suffer further selection dilemma as Barry Douglas ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.

It will come as devastating news to Leeds United fans to learn that Barry Douglas will not feature again in the club’s Championship promotion run-in after rupturing a medial ligament in the emphatic 3-2 victory over Millwall on Saturday, leaving him side-lined for at least two months (as per the Daily Mail).

Douglas, who has already achieved Premier League promotion with his former side Wolverhampton Wanderers, was a surprise summer arrival and hopes were understandably high amongst the Leeds faithful given his impressive contribution of five goals and 15 assists last season.

However, for all the hype that formerly surrounded one of the Championship’s most creative players, and an admittedly impressive beginning to the campaign, injuries soon restricted his influence and he has since managed just 21 starts, scoring no goals and assisting a paltry four.

Enough time spent analysing Yorkshire Evening Post writer Phil Hay’s tweet announcing the injury reveals just how much conjecture there is over his contribution this year – was he good, bad, average or awful? Many have answered.

Generally speaking, a consensus has formed that Barry Douglas started out a promising prospect before waning slightly due to injury, and his absence, though frustrating, doesn’t leave that much of a void at least in a technical sense.

However, what we believe, which Leeds fans also tend to agree with, is that the Scot’s absence has created a selection nightmare for Bielsa heading into an important part of the season. Alioski is the mostly likely candidate the occupy the spot whilst Berardi is also in contention – though the latter doesn’t offer much of an attacking outlet. Ultimately it means someone is going to have to drop from their normal responsibilities and that could damage the club.
